There were three away victories and one home win in Round 14 of Betfred League One on Sunday, as Oldham continue to lead the way at the top of the league table.
The Roughyeds maintained their 100% perfect record on home soil this year with a solid victory over Hunslet. The home side produced five tries on the day, including a Cian Tyrer hat-trick.
This becomes Tyrer's third hat-trick of the season, with the 23-year-old currently top of the try scoring charts across all three divisions, with his total now 23 – ahead of Betfred Super League and Wigan Warriors' Liam Marshall who has 22.
Keighley Cougars also remain level on league points with Oldham at the top, following a comfortable win over Workington Town in Round 14.
Oscar Thomas and Junior Sa'u both contributed braces to their side's success in Cumbria.
There was then a tough arm wrestle between Cornwall and North Wales Crusaders at The Memorial Ground. The Choughs had impressively led 10-0 courtesy of tries from Cameron Brown and Decarlo Trerise, but a sinbinning of Nathan Cullen allowed the pendulum to swing towards North Wales in the latter stages of the first half.
The visitors were able to capitalise with a try from Olly Davies - the score-line reading 10-4 at the break.
The gutsy encounter continued well into the second half, and despite a brave effort from the Cornwall outfit, they were unable to prevent two Crusaders tries - which resulted in an away win.
Finally, Midlands bounced back from their recent defeats with a victory over Newcastle, and now occupy fifth place.
